Problem using mounted ISO

I am unable to use or play some (most) ISO movies or games after they are mounted on virtual IDE or SCSI drive. I get an error that says "The disc may be corrupt. Make sure the disc uses a format windows recognizes...". This occurs with qbout 90% of all ISOs I try to mount. Any help would be appreciated.

Are these Blu-Ray images? What OS are you on and how did you create them?

Some are simple DVD movies, and others are high density games (double layer). I am using 64 bit windows 7.
