    However,I did a trick.
    I just copy Alcohol.exe & acid.exe to another path such as C:\acid\.
    When I tried again,

You can see somethins changed. It really cloaked DT/Alcohol's driver from Securom.
However, this method still has some bug.
    1:Putting exe to C:\acid\ works, C:\xxx\yyy\ works
but C:\xxx\yyy\zzz\ not works or works sometimes.
    2:If I click cloak,uncloak,cloak,uncloak......
    Sometimes I still see
    0 device(s) successfully uncloaked from SecuROM 7.xx:
I put this thread here as sYk0 has not stated that he/she will drop YASU/ACID.
I tested the latest ACID as no new YASU public is available.
Hope this thread may help for YASU/ACID 's debug.

Please take a closer look Moonie. He's refering to both apps.

Also bugs don't always occur on every system

Correct me if I mistaked something.
So you mean A.C.I.D v1.2.10010 is NOT the latest version?
I apologize if that is true.

Don't worry rockmanxy, v1.2.10010 is the latest version.

Having said that i suggest to post that info also at the Alcohol Soft
forums as sYk0 doesn't make apps for DT Soft anymore.

              Anyway thanks for the report

                        erm...

I have the same error with latest ACID v1.2.10010 and latest YASU v1.6.9040:
Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.
I just reported in YASU thread, but seems to be in vain.

What is the status of ACID - can/should I report at Alcohol forums?
Is this ACID version also the last version (just as is the case with YASU)?

                        Little confusing.

                        Thanks in advance.

I was monitoring the forum here and there, but nobody have reported such problem... so maybe it's just Win2K having problems with the latest YASU/ACID?
The first ACID that "shipped" with Alcohol v1.9.8.7117 was working OK, no such message.

That's good news, but would be even better if the problem could be (re)solved.

                              Discussing other oroducts...

(cannot edit my own post, so here's another)

Ermm, can I discuss Alcohol products on this forum?
The Alcohol installer used to be counter-signed with "DAEMON Tools Timestamping Services", so I assume there is a "certain" connection between Daemon Tools and Alcohol.

                              Sorry if I'm wrong.
