  • Daemon tools uninstalled the driver to my harddrive

Couple of weeks ago I installed the new Daemon tools lite, after installation the program asked to reboot the computer. Once rebooted, my pc it would not even attempt to touch the windows loading menu. I tried to solve the problem on my own, but had to consult a friend who told me that my drivers for the harddrive are missing.

My question is, after two weeks of not having a pc, is this a common occurence with DT? If so, how can one fix it. If it is, how can I prevent from my drivers from being uninstalled.

    Much appreciated.

DT nor SPTD uninstalling any 3rd party drivers.

Is the Safe Mode still working (F8 after POST -> Safe Mode)?
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

I couldnt even run it in safe mode. I wanted to install daemon tools, however, now im pushing towards purchasing alcohol 120 if this problem is reccuring with other users. I dont have time nor do I want to repeat the process of fixing my pc.

Both DTLite 4.35.6 and Alcohol use SPTD driver. New DTLite version which will be released in a few weeks contains alternative troublefree driver.
