  • Daemon Tools Lite installer has stopped working

Every time I click on the Daemon Tools Lite installer, a little windows flashes on the screen for about half a second, and then the installer crashes. I have tried disabling my AV, installing SPTD and redownloading the Daemon Tools Lite installer.
It doesn't give me an error code or anything. Help please!

        Hi
Please, check your system event logs for entries regarding this problem.
Also, open Control Panel -> Problem Reports and Solutions -> View problem history. Here you can get more detailed info on software problem. Also, it is possible that your operating system caught this software problem and generated process dump for DTLite setup crash.

Did you select the Danish language for DAEMON Tools?

Try disabling Defense+ (there is an option which requires a reboot) and then try again after the reboot.

I uninstalled comodo completely, then rebooted, but still no luck.

Which exact Sophos Antivirus is it (exact product and version)?
You don't have ZoneAlarm toolbar installed?

The virus scanner is called "Sophos Endpoint Security and Control", version 9.5. Disabling on-access scanning did not help.
I do not have any zonealarm products installed (also no other security products)

Did you select Dutch language for installation?

No. It never reaches the language selection form. It just crashes a few seconds after executing without ever displaying any forms or windows.
I'm using an English version of Windows.
I have no problems installing the previous version of daemon tools. I believe that will be the solution for now.

Did you have another version installed before?

Yes. I first used the automatic update feature. But since the installer would crash, I removed the previous version completely and then tried manually.
