  • Daemon Tools won't install on XP Titanium

    Operating System: XP Titanium
    Burning Software: Nero
    Anti-virus Software: Kaspersky
    DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46

    Hi everybody,

When I try to install Daemon Tools on my newly installed PC with XP Titanium there's a Windows Installer popup that says:

"The system administrator has configured your system's policy to prevent the use of this functionnality"

Anyone has an idea of what that means and if it is related to the fact that XP Titanium might have setup some policies for the default account during installation ?

    Thanks for your help.

Re: Daemon Tools won't install on XP Titanium

I've never even heard of this operating system, "XP Titanium," is it the same thing as Windows XP Professional?

These are the only versions I've heard of:
    1. Windows XP Corporate, for business usage only (no activation)
    2. Windows XP Home Edition
    3. Windows XP Media Center Edition (for desktops and notebooks with an emphasis on audio, video, and PVR capability)
    4. Windows XP Professional
    5. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
    6. Windows XP Starter Edition, for new computer users in developing countries
    7. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition (for notebooks with touch screens)
