  • NETWORK BOOT OPTIONS

Maybe it would be an excellent idea to enable Deamon Tools to mount for example an windows xp Pro installation CD and then to share the mounted image so that another computer could make a network boot to the shared image.

Daemon Tools is a Windows Application, so it's impossible to get it to run before you have Windows installed...

...and how would you install Windows with Linux and VMWare running?

I think you all missed the point. I think he means something similar to window's remote installation services. Where you boot of a PXE nic to the network, and you can install windows from a shared source. He wants to apply it so that daemon tools can offer up mounted images in that manner.

Good idea, given in order to do RIS you have to have a windows server setup in the house, however I doubt daemon tools is the answer as RIS usually uses only the i386 folder, which you can copy to your hd and share it.
