I'm creating an image of Morrowind with Alcohol 120%. As you know, it's Safedisc 2.90 protected. I've followed the instructions on how to use the fastdump method, but Alcohol still doesn't skip the errors. What could I do to make it work? Or does my laptop only have a DVD-RW -drive that doesn't support fastdump?

Fast dump does not work with SD2.9x and newer versions anymore.
Try to reduce the read speed to e.g. 4x or 8x, so the drive won't waste time by spinning up'n'down on each error over and over again.Everybody be cool! You, be cool!

Ok, thanks. I'll try that. Anyway, the first 1% took ages to finish, but after all the image was ready in 10+ minutes.Comment

It depends on SafeDisc whether it checks the defekt sectors or not. Some newer versions didn't (2.9x), newest did it again (3.x).Everybody be cool! You, be cool!
