A lot of time ago, maybe.

Not more. I wouldn't touch a plextor with a ten foot pole.
LOL! Just Gigarec and Varirec are worth the money of a Plextor burner. Write quality is superb. You can't be serious!

By the way, what do "Yes" and "No" mean in this poll? The question says "one or the other", so what does "yes" mean?

Example: Q: "Does it rain, or does it not?" A: "Yes."

      So, does it rain?

Well logically (boolean) that has a defined meaning... It rains. Or not. Or both.

I have fire-wire connections for my home network. Two comps running Win XP Home and Pro. Linked to a Cable modem. Never a problem with home network.

I'm serious. Write quality is not the only param I consider.

If you remember what they did on some firmware, disabling the raw-dao and blocking the user from re-installing a previous version you can understand my point of view.

Anyway, some LG models have an outstanding write quality on many different media.

I had many plextor, too. In the past.

                          Bye

the problem with this poll is that you've put forth a yes or no decision on somthing that's not a yes or no question. please refer to www.reference.com. thank you.

The only way this question can be seen well, is to see it as a logical OR function... USB OR IDE, if you get one of those or both it's yes and logical(boolean) 1, if you won't get one it's logical 0.

Everything is good, it's just the way you look at it :p
