  • "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM"

    Hello,
For the most part my daemon tools has worked with movies and games, but with 3 games (namely Farcry, Starcraft and KOTOR 2) I get the message "please insert the correct dvd-rom, select ok and restart application". I loaded the game and everything with the dvd-rom image and it worked fine, but once I try to play using that same image that message pops up. Any suggestions? I searched the forum and couldn't find anything that mentioned this, apologies in advance if I missed something.

How did you create the images? Does it work from your original CDs?

So Farcry is protected by Safedisc 3.2(DVD).
So make an image with Alcohol using the ignore read error's option enabled, if you have a bad image.
And KOTOR 2 is Securom new 5 or 7 protected.
So if it's a DVD enable the dpm option by making the image,
if it's a cd use the securom new 4x/5x profile of Alcohol.
If you want to play KOTOR 2 you'll need an antiblacklisting tool like sr7stop.

Not true. There are no errors on safedisc DVDs.
To contact me privately, pray. I might answer.
