      A-Ray Scanner

What version of Starforce does it use? If you don't know the version number you can scan the play disc and/or the folder where King Kong is installed on your hard drive.

                  King Kong

                  Hi,

i just mounted the image with the new DT4.0.
I even dont have to disable my IDE drives.
                  Works like a charm here.

Ok, mounting alone did not work for me, however on the advice of another, I mounted using V4 and unpluged the power cable on my cd/dvd ide drive. Workes a charm, all I need to do now is mount an external power switch so that I can remove power without opening my case every time I want to play ...LOL

                      .

Civilization 4 - SafeDisk 4.60 - works great (but had to reinstall the game first.

Moto GP 3 URT - SecuROM 7 - works great

                      F.E.A.R. - SecuROM 7 - works great

                      GT Legends - Starforce 3 - nogo
Tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling using Daemon and image file with only RMPS enabled. Prompts for the CD Key. Enter it. Looks for disk and Errors out every time. I have no physical CD/DVD drives connected. Verified in Windows Device Manager that no drives are installed other than the HD. Alcohol and Antiblaxx were previously uninstalled. Has anyone had success with any Starforce 3 games yet?

IDE optical drives need to be disabled or unplugged

For people other than nabelo, you probably need to disable your IDE optical drives. See this post for recommendations on what to click when using Starforce Nightmare.

                          *Still be careful though

                              king kong - disable ide

I was successfull too, my experience is that Daemontools 4 does not work standalone and Starforce Nightmare option "disable cd" does not work with this Version of Starforce Copy Protection 3.6.10.06. I had to (sfcure Version v1.x.c):
                              1. copy sfcure01.sys to windows\system32\driver
                              2. start sfcure01.reg
                              3. shutdown and switch off pc
                              4. remove ide cable from optical drives (second ide port)
                              5. disable second ide port in bios
                              6. start xp sp2
                              7. run !start.bat (sfcure)
                              8. "disable node" with starforce nightmare v1.12
                              9. mount unpached image of cd1 with daemontools 4 (Emulation: all options on)
                              10. run game

                              Mainboard: k7vza rev. 3, amd2000+, geforce5200fx
                              2 HD at ide-port 1
                              1 dvd-rw and 1 cd-rom at ide-port 2
