I want to find out what kind of software people who 'magically' can get this game to work are running.

This is a poll for people who have tried to run this game, sucessfully or unsucessfully, while using or not using AntiBlaxx antiblacklisting software.
    Imperial Glory? or Metric Dishonour?

I can play NFS:MW using one of the following ways:
    • Disable CD with SFN
    • Disabling my optical drives in Device Manager

It probably works with SafeDisc 4 Hider as well.

AntiBlaxx was for un-blacklisting Daemon Tools v3.47, DTv4 hasn't been blacklisted by any copy protection yet.

I can play it without having to use any antiblacklisting tools and without having to unplug my optical IDE drives.

Do you by any chance have an nForce chipset?

I got it working on one pc with just DT4 and with another just using DT4 + sd4hide.

It ain't starforce protected as far as I know.

            Hi,

for my part, i can make this game running simply by using deamon-tools V4 without any option ON ( juste the image mounting fonction )and the use of DVD REGION free launched.

Boths make it runs nice. If DVD region Free off, the game crash due to a temp file.

            Hope it helps,

            Weeby.

Yeah I use nforce also and right after I installed it it worked perfectly, however for a friend of mine it doesn't work at all even after unpluging the drives, the only method he found is to disable the network card and strangely it worked.

Yes, a nForce3 chipset, does it has anything to do with it?

                  still in the guessing stage

I think everyone is still at the guessing stage. I propose its any chipset whose name has the letter 'n' in it

I need to disable or unplug my IDE drives for this to work.
I am using an nForce 4 board.

unplug your ide drives from power+cable - mount - run - play

if it doesnt work try to remove alcohol etc, or use a proper image

                            nForce

Weird kitna. We might have to start asking people their nForce IDE/Storage Controller Driver Dates/Driver Versions.
