  • GT legends and starforce hell..

    the story goes as follows..

array scan >> sf 3.6.10.3 detected

    1. iso creation by blindwrite
    2. iso mounted on dt4
    3. installation from iso successful
    4. sfup
    5. sfcure64
    6. drives' power unplugged
    6. launch&error for serial even though it is correct

tired of trying & trying so i'm asking for your piece of advice..

u dont need to use sfcure if u use dt4.
did u make a high DPM image???
did u uninstall sfdrivers before making the image???
don't unplug ur power but ur IDE connection plug.

    then it should work

error again >> "insert the DVD in another drive and retry"

maybe the image is faulty.. i used automatic profile in settings to make it. the previous was with iso profile.

i can't see high DPM anywhere in the program though

        @#%#@$^!

i've tried automatic profile but nothing..
which one of these profiles included should i use?

i'd use alcohol if i could but somehow i can't run it..
when i'm launching it says it has expired

As Blindwrite only measures max. 1 Mio sectors (DVD, which is enough for Securom), the extracted topology isn't enough to authenticate the SF key. Moreover Blindwrite's Autoplay emulation can't cheat SF anyway. Only Alcohol is measuring Data position on the whole disc and is therefore the only program capable of creating valid SF "topologies".

It seems you've allready had installed an Alcohol trial some time ago.
As a workaround you could create an (unsplitted) ISO with e.g. DVD Decrypter and rename the *.iso as *.mdf; then you "only" have to look for an adequate mds-file.

There are no "singularities" in Alcohol's main image file, it's standard ISO (so i guess )

                      @N1kos
Should have read better the threadstart; you allready have created an ISO with Blindwrite (i forgot that profile), so just rename that one to *.mdf

Depending on where you are living/which version you have, you may find a matching mds file at e.g. copybase.ch (mainly for versions incl. german lang.)

Use the Securom 5 (DVD) profile, this should work for Securom 7 protected DVD's, too.

                          Blindwrite doesn't work for Starforce.

P.S.: Where has your first posting gone ?

Terramex, since when does BlindWrite not work for StarForce? I've created working images without any problems for UFO Aftershock v1.1 with BlindWrite as well as with Alcohol...

(Although I had to uninstall the StarForce drivers prior to using Alcohol.)

jjaomni, that's not because of the new version but because Alcohol doesn't have profiles for DVDs. Just use the image creation wizard with DPM set to high. Please mind my remark about uninstalling the StarForce drivers first!
