Any writable discs have a special ATIP area. This area can be read by any CD-RW and DVD drives, including non-writable.
Do those two sentences seem incorrect to anybody else?

They seem to be a little incoherent with their use of "-RW", "writable" etc... But it's not exactly hard to get what they mean, I think.

All writable (optical) discs have an ATIP area. This area can be read by all CD and DVD drives, including read-only drives.
