Well I must have a bad image because I keep getting this: http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=emu&c=5000

The image was mounted by daemon tools but it's not running. Used Securom Loader 1.2 and set the compatibility of Gamedata/sweaw.exe to Win 2000. The CureRom method doesn't work for me either.

Yeah, sounds like a bad image. Use crAlcohol 120% to eate your image and enable the DPM option in the read settings with high precision and a slow speed (1x-4x).

This might help with DT4+curerom+EAW to get running

          Hi all,

I have Dtools 4 and curerom 2.1 it seemed to work
but after first working it refused saying on ver1.0
please insert original desk. patchign to 1.04 the msg changed
to please insert orginal disk backups arent allowed (1000)
or something like that by memory.

THe fix is quite simple.. it creates some files in your temp folder and gamedata folder that tells its a image loading.
just nee to delete them and it will fire up each time no
          problems

here is a batch file I wrote.
I have game on G: drive and curerom in c drive
first you need to make a profile with curerom 2.1
to mount the image and start that game

then you need a batch file to clean up each time
and call curerom profile to start game
like so, else it might work 1 in 10 times like some reported
or not at all. of course a image MDF might help since it has
          extra info over other isos.

          del /f /q %temp%\*.*
          del /f /q "G:\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData\*.rec"
          cd "C:\Program Files\CureROM\"
          c:
          "C:\Program Files\CureROM\CureROM.exe" -launch "C:\Program Files\CureROM\Profiles\LaunchEAW.crp"

          enjoy
          P.

I tried that, didn't work for me. I'm running version 1.04 of the game. Yes, i corrected the paths, they are referring to the folders I'm using. After the second command (del /f /q "G:\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData\*.rec"), I get an error message saying that it couldn't find any files, and then it goes on and loads the CureROM profile. Of course it will then only start about 1 out of 10 times. Any ideas?

What I did ater gotten both the error and the missing security message(I have Win XP Pro SP2):

1.Downloaded and installed CureRom Pro 2.0.3
2.redone my profile(although I can bet was useless)
3.Redone the shortcut pointing to sweaw.exe
                  4.settings on 1st page anti-blacklist checked only
5.on second use daemon tools and Suspend Cd/DVD . rest default
                  ________

Kept image NOT loaded into Daemon Tools.. clicked on shortcut and fired up
Also I patched the game to 1.4
                  ________

The only downside I see is that it checks way too much(5-15 sec) before starting the game(then again last time I played it was 1.2 and several months back so I cannot remember if that`s what happened the first time I instaled it)

                  Hope this helps

The cd-check with 1.4 update is much more aggresive than that of the previous versions, thats why the SecuROM check takes longer.

I can't get this damn thing to work either. I got the CureRom profile done, daemon tools settings right (Safedisc, Securom, RMPS, Secure Mode) but it keeps telling me unable to mount image, file not accesable.
                      Its trying to mount EAW_1.mds

Make sure the mds and mdf file of your image have the same name. Try disabling your antivirus before mounting.

                            @Locus:

How did you created your image - which application did you used
                            and which settings?

That's a rather uncommon combination, what program did you use to create the EAW image?

I used KRKSecurom_Loader_1_2 and EaW patched with newest update and it works correctly
