it won't take to lang anymore i think..... LocostofBurg said it would come this year (this did he said in 2006) but that didn't happened....but it must be almost done..!! But first they need to make the program good (no bugs, etc) then it will be released!!
I've got a laptop, and disconnecting the IDE optical drive is not possible unless I disassemble it...

I am new to Daemon tools so please forgive me if I'm too far off base. But can't you disable your CD/DVD drive via Control Panel>System>Device Manager and then disable the CD/DVD drive from there? Some people have also mentioned disabling the devices via their BIOS.
I just got my first notebook and am using Daemon Tools to make it easier to game on the go without bringing actual disks along. I too look forward to a virtual IDE versus the virtual SCSI. I've had no success with the various anti-blacklist programs that hide the drives. For now though I can live with just disabling the DVD drive.
And this depends on the chipset version of your mobo, as well as its drivers (SF has some problems with nForce 4 mobos, under win XP 32b, but not under x64 XP)
I'm sure they are, as I'm sure that some people have a pretty good beta version.
I'm just sad, 'coz I remember I decided to pay for it as one of the best piece of software ever.
