    What's with this securom?
i've tried to read up a bit, and it seems to block any games from loading because i have an emulator (daemon tools v4.10). What gives??
I know i may seem a little amateurish by asking this but, can anyone tell me how to play my newly purchased "the sims 2: bon voyage" without having to uninstall my daemon tools.

Try to use latest YASU (yasu.copybase.ch) to avoid blacklisting.

Note it is possible it will still detect the emulator due to patched Sims 2 Bon Voyage as it updates SecuRom version.
Make something idiot proof, but then they just make a better idiot

uninstalling daemon tools is not required to play most protected games, be it securom, safedisc etc... they just bitch if they detect the game being run from an emulator...
playing from the original disk with original exe should not cause problems.. at least i've never been forced to uninstall daemon tools / alc to play anything... worst case i put the original disk in and play... forcing users to uninstall such programs would definately cause legal issues for the protectionists...
