  • DT Pro Basic Trial & DT Pro Basic Ad Supported vs Tages in Act of War High Treason

I again made a new image of my Tages protected game Act of War High Treason (Stand Alone Version) using my newly downloaded trial pack of DaemonTools Pro Basic v4.11.0219 to make sure that the image is made by the latest version of the software.

Again the image creation was successful which created an MDS file.
The plugin profiles were set to Tages of course.

I disable Alcohol 52%'s virtual drive to ensure that it is not detected by the protection.
I uninstalled my Farstone Gamedrive 10 just to make sure.
I deactivated Blindwrite's virtual drivers as well.

I mounted the image into DaemonTools' virtual drive and the game still gives out the message, "Please Insert the Original DVD..." notice.

    Does DeamonTools really support Tages?
My game is in DVD not CD - though I don't know if this makes any difference...

    Is there something I'm missing?
Can somebody explain to me what's happening...
Everybody says that Daemon Tools support Tages but my experience says otherwise...

Could it be that this is a new version of the protection?

    Code:
    Does DeamonTools really support Tages?
    Yes it does.

Have you installed protection drivers, so at least the original work?

It's possible you have to mount the image into virtual ide drive which only the Advanced Version has.

      Thanks for the Enlightenment

      Yeah the original works perfectly...

But I wouldn't want to accidentally damage my disc due to consistent use right?

I don't think you would either with your own game...
These things are very expensive here in the Philippines and a title could be quite hard to come by...
I guess you get the picture...

Could you suggest which protection drivers I should use?

Do you think my other emulators affect DaemonTools' performance?

      I've got Alcohol 52%FE & Farstone's Gamdrive.
Can't get rid of them because my other games depend on them...

      Thanks for enlightening me...

Tages has become an interesting copy protection method...
I also work with a major software company...

Try to install latest protection drivers (select Tagès 5.5 Drivers):
Tagès, TAGES, protect, copy protection, video game, data protection

You could try to uninstall Farstone's Gamedrive. What about recreating your images with DT Pro?
