Starforce lounch new line of protectiion: FrontLine
3.6 is basic version
3.7 is pro version
3.8 is elite version
3.6 about 10 games, 3.7 - 3 games protected.
3.6:
- work sfcure
- work from usb with rpms
3.7:
- not work with sfcure
- not work from usb
- not work from mimi image without selecting speed to 1x for virtual driver
3.8:
- who know? No any game protected this version
But: 3.6, 3.7 not problem for new DT4.0.
3.8 -???

For me SF3.4, SF3.6 work with SFCure, other Versions i havn't

I bet they are going to work their as of at Starforce when DT v4 & Pro gets released just to blacklist it some way.
And they will succed, because if they don't they are screwd.
Because which game company wants a protection that you can bypass?

Let's just hope that all the grateful fans and customers will motivate the DT developers to keep in doing they great job that they are doing.

Wasnt it kind of Starforce, that the D-Tools team rebuilt Deamon-Tools from scratch? Also they say the just realease a new update if I havent read wrong

It wasn't just starforce that made the team decide to rebuild it from ground up. I'm sure the blacklisting and coupled with the fact they they wanted to make a version that works on 64 bit Windows was the deciding factor in doing so.

I think X3 Reunion, both EU (Deepsilver) and US (Enlight) versions have SF 3.7.

yeah well too bad dt 4 will NOT support 98 anymore!!!
wonder why ? no i mean really ??? is it a technicall matter which i could understand or simply a decision based on the O/S's age and or restrictions ??? that tell's me it's time to go back to 98 and try some of the stuff!!!!! which i will do soon!!!!!

and what would happen if one tried to install/run dt 4 under 98se ??? would it perform an O/S check abd refuse to run because of the o/s or it wouldn't actually work ? i know that older windows may use different types of the core files like vxd's instead of "whatever" they use in xp but i know that they could have KEPT support for 98!!!

to me that statement from starforce themselvs just proves that there is a major FLAW with the way starforce works under 98, and i am sure it's not because of them not trying to block emulators in 98...
so there's something to think about!!!!!
