Have you tried it with the sfcure method?
Look into the splinter cell chaos theory (scct) or other SF threads for information.
I've done it with 2 SF 3.6 games with sfcure and it worked.

Up to StarForce 3.5 the SF security also scan 2nd check on
the physical IDE-drive and I tested my Own original game's
Backup. Some of them works ONLY if the POWER SUPPLY OFF
(e.g. The Suffering TTB 3CDs version Box), but works.
We make a BUTTON OUT from my PC and I cannot use My
Original CD/DVD...

Sorry, that i was a bit unprecise.
So i've done it with SFCure and power off my DVD-Burner for GT Legends (SF 3.6) and only with disable cd (sfn) and SFCure for SCCT (SF 3.4). Soon i'll test it with SF3.5: Worms 4 Mayhem.

All my SF 3.5-3.6 games are working only if POWER SUPPLY
OFF. GT Legends/Worms 4/X3 Reunion/Ufo Aftershock/The Suffering TTB. I mean If THE DRIVE handle ATIP, the SF 3.5-SF 3.6 NOT WORKING,ONLY IF the POWER SUPPLY OFF.
But I cannot try my idea, becouse I don't have a NO ATIP drive or what types has NO ATIP. Maybe the OLD CDFREAKER
ONES has could say some words about it...
My CLONES perfect clones becouse works (1-2 sec checks)
with the POWER SUPPLY OFF. Mounting new DT4 RPMS ON
with SFNightmare DISABLE CD function.
What about ATIP drive Media-check of SF up to 3.5-3.6 ??
Starforce 3 up to 3.4 Works perfect with SFNightmare and
DISABLE CD function WITHOUT POWER SUPPLY OFF...

i'm also interested if it is possible to avoid SF in this game. , but i don't understand some of the terms you're using here, e.g. POWER SUPPLY OFF. What does it mean? I've tried many ways of running UFO, (DT4+RPMS, SFcure 64, SFNightmare, removing ODD's) and nothing works, i'm getting message about entering some CD key. Could you please explain it to me step by step? I've read many posts from this site and i still can't get the game to work.

First download some other mds files and test them (www.copybase.ch) (rename your mds file, name the download file like the old and put it into the same directory like the mdf file).
I get this cd key message if i try to start scct with dt.
It only works with Alcohol 120% for me.
Try mounting it in Alcohol with sfcure and unplug your ide-drives and press disable node on Starforce nightmare.

i think they mean unplug the power connectors from your CD Roms...then try!

If you get fed up with having to do this ......connect your CD Roms to an IDE CONTROLLER CARD, you will then be unaffected by most copy protections and wont have to disconnect anything when you wanna play from an image file....

I mean you need only OFF THE POWER CHORD from your 1st
CD/DVD drive and SF 3.5-3.6 works. OR use an USB drive
(e.g. DVD R/W) to Mount your image with good DPM (.MDS
file was the correct informations).
The method what REBELLION was wrote I guess brilliant, but on some PC
has not handled correctly the IDE C.C.
(I tried on some PC and refused, maybe the type of the IDE C.C. or IRQ
problems etc.). But on RAID IDE or
nForce chipsets MB was more chance to run SF 3.5-3.6.
But also the new SecuROM has out
(I see 1st on Stubbs the Zombie...)
with IDE priority and maybe it was
works also WITH OFF your drive.
Only 1-2 days and I will get that game
