Matrix Path of Neo - Patch 1.01

Hi

I was able to play the original version from the image using DT 4.00 (my DVD-ROM was disabled through the Device Manager).

After installing the patch I could not run the game from the image. I got a popup window stating a security module could not load. After further examination I found out I can play from the image only if I'm not connected to the internet

I'm really pazzled, can there be a connection between the copy protection and the connection to the internet?

I would try unplugging all your optical IDE drives and see if it works. If it doesn't work then we'll have to find another solution.

Hello Shati,

It seems the latest securom is bugged and has a software conflict with window DUN (Dial Up Networking). I have two games that needs to be disconnected from the internet in order to be played. One is Fear and The Path of Neo. Both of the games with the latest patch needs to be disconnected from the internet in order for them to work. If you are not, the games will lauch but will consume 99% cpu resources in the background and fail start. You can get and updated exe from securom itself for fear that resolves the problem (ie you wouldn't have to disconnect from the internet) but i have yet to find one for the path of neo. People running ADSL and dial up will face this problem however those on routers would not. Also the problem might occur if getright is running. Hope the info helps
