I'm trying to get past Starforce with King Kong using DT 4.00, so I've disconnected my one and only DVD-drive; both power and serial cable. I don't have a floppy drive, so my hard disk was the only master/slave device (how do you call it?) left.
After disconnecting, the computer takes a long time booting, especially (ofcourse) when it normally auto-detects the dvd-drive. Is there any way to avoid this? Turning off auto-detect or something else? I've searched in my BIOS, but couldn't find anything there.
I've managed to install King Kong, so (maybe a stupid question) is it OK to reconnect my dvd-drive now? Or would that ruin it all?
Thanks beforehand!
My motherboard:
MSI 915p Neo2 1.0b - BIOS 3.6
