  • SAFEDISC 2.8

    SAFEDISC 2.8 a GREAT NIGHTMARE.
I have a Lite On LTR24102B and use Clone CD 4.101. I have done numerous back ups of SafeDisc 2 and 2.51 since the EFM encoder of the writter cannot be flooded.

Has anyone know what Safedisc has done from that version? This 2.8 is IMPOSSIBLE to handle.
Only Daemon tools can play the image but Lite On and Clone CD cannot handle this anymora?

    HELP???????????????
    Danke - Thanks

    Hi,

Alcohol is able to handle Safedisc 2.8x perfectly. I myself copied Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Fifa2003 with it, both work great.

Latest CloneCD cannot make PERFECT copies of SD2.8. If it does they will not work on all drives. So if it works for you then you are happy.
        Alcohol DOES it.

Any of alcohol, discjuggler or the combination of discdump/fireburner can be used to copy safedisc 2.8 protected cds successfully with a suitable writer.

Does alcohol need 'patching' or emulation to copy v2.8?
