how can i make dummy/fake-images to play a game?

iґve seen, the image to install a game is full size....
and there is another image, which is very tiny, but
when i load them, it shows all files in the cd-rom drive,...

....and the game works fine...

my question, how can i make these fake-images, which are very tiny, and the game will work?

- so i can save many images for gaming on the harddrive....
