    Hi all!

    Roms6 your efforts,deserves my work.IF it will be for al people,Stafroce would be thing of past..

    I apologize if VDPRO10 drivers 10 are unstable,for me it works perfecty,even with re enabling ide drives with vd10

    That can be a conflict between alcohol or daemon tools driver,as I have none of them installed.
    (I run and reinstall daemon tools4 with my need,as stpd drivers does'nt install properly!)

    Please note that I have a windows 2000 nlite,it have many drivers uniNstalled

    Other people have tested my method and ,lets me repeat it COULD works (although sfnightmare COULD not).
    Starforce is so complicated that each user have to face it with his own system! Yes,all tricks will be still odd-jobs without good nocd/DVD or IDE Jammer Daemon tools.

    here is the list: (fileforums list)

    GAMES SHOULD WORK (NEED TEStERS!) with VDPRO10:

    - Worms 4 Mayhem (incl. Update-Patch,Nforce Chipset)
    - Prince Of Persia - The Two Thrones (NforceChipset)
    - Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Nforce,ULI chipsets)
    - Trackmania Sunrise (incl. eXtreme Add-On/Patch) (Nforce ,ULI chipsets)
    -The Suffering Ties That Bind (ULI chipsets)
    -PJ King Kong (Nforce, ULI chipsets)

    In addition ,I thanx all people (Neptun,AnalCobra...) on this board to contribute to this post.

    Although,we need to to summarize all method that should work for starforce and them in zip archive and send to backup sites to avoid many useless questions.

      IMO if anyone gets a SF game working under VDP 10 with IDE optical drives fully connected it's because:

      1. The StarForce protection is less than v3.6.
      -or-
      2. You have an nforce3/4 mobo.

      VDP 10 IMO does nothing more than disable optical drives and/or IDE channels exactly like SFN does or that you can do yourself in Device Manager.

        Dear, streetwolf, please read carefully all my post!

        This is not the perfect solution because, yes drivers of VDPro10 can be unstable on some system.

        Please read that I have posted before:

        - Worms 4 Mayhem (incl. Update-Patch,Nforce Chipset)
        - Prince Of Persia - The Two Thrones (NforceChipset)
        - Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (Nforce,ULI chipsets)
        - Trackmania Sunrise (incl. eXtreme Add-On/Patch) (Nforce ,ULI chipsets)
        -The Suffering Ties That Bind (ULI chipsets)
        -PJ King Kong (Nforce, ULI chipsets)

        User that have Uli chipset get SF Game WORKING (at the contrary to SFNightmare that doesn't work with this game)
        King Kong->StarForce 3.6.10.06 6> ULI chipset

        this can work on few chipset or few games,even with starforce > 3.6x

        But I'm still convinced that with other tricks,we can bypass sf with more system!

        As I said in old post,

        ->Trackmania sunrise doesn't run with disabling drives in device manager.
        ->Trackmania sunrise run with disabling drives on VDPRO10.
        And yes,you' right when you said the hide system of PRO10 is near to sfnightmare.
        However
        -> sfnigtmare doesn't work for me with trackmania sunrise,believe or not.

          I tested with Trackmania Sunrise without the addon, which has SF 3.4 and it did not work.
          I also tried F.E.A.R. (which has SecuROM 7) but VD10 seems to be blacklisted by SecuROM.

          Two different games, two different protections, and none of them worked. Why would anyone waste $80 on such crappy software?

            Test

            So i (Intel Chipset) made a check today, images mounted in DT:

            Trackamania Sunrise with extreme add-on:
            VD Pro disable cd-rom -> doesn't work
            SFN disable cd, node, ch -> doesn't work
            unplug my drive -> work

            Worms 4 Mayhem:
            VD Pro disable cd-rom -> doesn't work
            SFN disable cd, node, ch -> doesn't work
            unplug my drive -> work

            NFSMW:
            VD Pro disable cd-rom -> work
            SFN disable cd, node, ch -> work
            unplug my drive -> work

            I think VD Pro 10 don't disables the drive different then SFN. The drive will be disabled by disabling the channel and the drive, i think. When i disable it with VD the secondary channel is disabled and the drive isn't displayed in device manager. When i enable it i get an error "can't enable the drive" then the channel will be enabled and the drive will be displayed but disabled. If i disable the drive manager and then disable the channel with sfn or in device it has the same effect like disabling it with VD the drive won't be shown and the channel is disabled.
            The results of my test support my statement that sfn and VD do the same thing.

            A message for you john486496:

            Disable the drives with VD, then look into device manager which channel disabled is (primary, secondary).
            Then enable your drives in VD. Now disable your drive with SFN (disable cd) or in device manager
            and disable the channel in device manager or with sfn by disabling ch1 (primary) or ch2 (secondary).
            If you had done this it should work too. Without disabling it with VD.

            But with Trackmania Sunrise without add-on i had a strange experience:
            VD Pro disable cd-rom -> doesn't work
            disabling the drive and the channel in device manager -> doesn't work
            disabling the drive and the channel with SFN -> work
            unplugging -> work

            When i disable the channel in device manager the channel will be displayed but disabled that's normal and it's also looking like that
            if i disable it with VD. But when i disable the channel with sfn (ch2) the channel and the drive won't be displayed in device manager
            so sfn does it on a harder way then VD and the device manager.

            So a tip for you disable the drive (disable cd) and the channel (disable ch1/ch2) with sfn and it should work. Only disabling the drive (CD) doesn't seem to work.
