Psychonauts (EU) and SecuROM 7?

Hallo,

I'm trying to make Psychonauts 1.4 (German) run on a Daemon-Tools 4.03 logical drive, but anything I do, it will ever say "original DVD is not found or authenticated".

A-Ray says, its a SecuROM DVD, and in the Daemon-Tools-Game-Database it is listed with SecuROM v7.0.0.x.

Does anyone have expierence made withe the game or this copy protection?

I ripped the DVD with Alcohol 120%. (Only at the Psychonauts-DVD the DPM-Step says my drive will not support DPM)

Then I mounted the image with Daemon-Tools 4.03 with all emulation options enabled.

The game always says "original DVD is not found or authenticated". I tried every Anti-Blacklist-Systems (Anti-Blah, CureROM, SR7Stop). I also tried to do the same things like StarForce-Protection fixing (disconnect IDE-Drives and so on).

The f***ing game will not run! Please help me!

It does not work because you have not a DPM messurement.

Only at the Psychonauts-DVD the DPM-Step says my drive will not support DPM)

You could download a mds file from copybase.ch or try again DPM messurement with a lower speed.

It seems, Psychonaut 1.4 has the same new SecuRom Protection as the updated Serious Sam II. This one blacklists DT4. As temporary solution, until a new DT update will be released (see at the announcement page) Locutus advises to try out the new SecuRom Anti-Blacklist Tool in the download section under 3rd Party Tools for DT 4 Series.
