In some version of starforce is no ATAPI check. But if you whrite copy of original disk on cd-rw ore dvd-rw with RPMS, its no run! I think, its new method, that used by starforce to defeat run from RPMS. And i think, that no ATAPI check anymore in next version of starforce. This method used on usb by starforce.
Example: Spellforce 2 after patch 1.01. Starforce 3.7.16.0. No run from mini-image, no run from full image, no run from RPMS.
So, we only may whait for new version of DT.
P.S. I think, in next DT will be direct access to image on HDD
