Alrite, I know there's been multiple topics discussing this.
But im a new forum-goer 'round these parts, so cut me some slack.
This is about warcraft 3. Again.
So, ive tried writing images of both TFT and Reign of Chaos. Ive tried using CloneCD to write a CCD, Ive tried DiscJuggler, And ive tried alcohol 120% to write a SECURom '4.x/5.x'.
And everytime i try to mount the image, whether using alcohol 120% or DAEMON'S tools, i get the error 'Please Make sure Warcraft III is in the drive and press retry.'

Help for gods sake!! Its driving me insane!! its my only game i can't get an image of!!

Do you have to burn a disc or can you play from a mounted image on a virtual drive?

What is the brand and full model number of your burner?

Warcraft 3 can only be played from the drive it was installed on.

1) Make an image of your disk with all relevant settings
2) Mount in Daemon
3) Look in the registry (apologies, I cannot remember the key) for Warcraft entries, and change the original cd drive to the daemon drive.
4) Play away

OR (but not advised if you have existing save games)

1) Make an image of your disk with all relevant settings
2) Uninstall the game
3) Mount in Daemon
4) Install from Daemon and you won't need registry editing

Warcraft 3 can only be played from the drive it was installed on.

I think the game will launch if you've got a disc in any drive.

WC3-ROC should work fine with ccd image, TFT requires image with DPM data due to newer SecuROM version.

Alas no. Just double checked, and its very fussy about that. It will only play when run from the same drive as installed from.

I assume its alright to put the registry keys here.
For RoC: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\War3CD
and/or
For tFT: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\War3XCD

With Warcraft, it does not matter which of the CD's are inserted to play, just so long as a CD is inserted. I personally choose a RoC mini image because of its size and mount it regardless of game I play.

I double checked when I posted before too.

I just tried again now with non-game discs inserted into the drives and with some of the cd drives empty. It always passes the check if there's a valid disc inserted in one of my two real cd-rom drives or if there's an image mounted on any of my four virtual drives.

D'oh, it never used to, evidently a patch changed that "feature". Further tests of my system show a problem somewhere with cd/dvd drives.

Long story short, ignore my posts about warcraft registry editing.

1. Update ASPI drivers.
2. Get the latest Alcohol120% trial.
3. Make an image with Securom New 4.x/5.x profile.
4. Enable RMPS emulation in DT.
5. Play.

TFT patch may disable Your virtual drives. Switch'em back on.

For the record, RMPS emulation is only used for burned discs, not images. All of the emulation options are for burned discs only.
