  • Splinter Cell Trilogy Question

I was recently browsing gogamer.com and they have a Splinter Cell Trilogy available for purchase. I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about potential copy protection this pack uses. The details aren't very clear on the website about how many discs it has or whether each game is on a separate DVD or what, but I am mainly concerned about whether or not Chaos Theory is still using starforce in this pack. So if anybody knows anything about this I would greatly appreciate a response.

      In the trilogy as well?

I own SC 1 + Mission Pack on a dvd and it has no protection. I dont know the protection of the Trilogy pack, but:
SCCT uses Starforce 3.4 :-) (its 3.4.7, i hit the wrong key. I can play it by deactivating the 2nd ide channel)
and SC Pandora Tomorrow and the normal SC 1 uses Safedisc 2/3
Maybe the trilogy just includes the 3 games with the old protections instead of using a new protection, don't know...

Jito said this was a rumor (he can't play on x64 because of SF).

I do confirm this is just a damn rumor. No legal way to play under x64

For all 32bit SCCT players, a "patch" has been released from a known warez group that removes the need for starforce. I can finally play SCCT without starforce crapware on my system.

But finally we should not mention this, regarding the froum rules, shouldn't we?

                          Nope, we should not.

By the way, even Jito is guilty...

Shush you, or I'll smack you with my Orbital LART.

Though I do not speak openly of this method in deference to forum rules, I do feel the need to clarify that I do own FOUR LEGIT COPIES of this game, so I'm well within my rights to find a means of playing my FOUR LEGIT COPIES of this game if Ubisoft won't provide the means. That's all I have to say on this matter. You may now resume your regularly scheduled discussion.

I agree with Jito463, if I can't play by games legally without being bugged by SF, then I need to find other means of playing them without SF.
                              That is all.
