civ4 not working with patch v1.61

civilization 4 doesn't work when patched to version 1.61

i already tried using safedisk 4 hider, but that won't work either, any suggestions?

Please use Protection ID to scan for the copy protection it is protected with (don't scan the CD but the folder you installed the game to).

I didn't try running it before i patched it. It just won't work.

How did you create your image? Programs and settings used?

curerom is crap, it never worked for me.
securom loader 7.26 works fine, put the loader .exe into your game dir to your civ4 exe, make a good image and load it.

Ok, it doesn't work for you. That doesn't make it crap. After all, in my case it was just the opposite. I could never get SecuROM Loader to work, but CureROM worked perfectly.

Just a note, at least in Vista 5728 Damon Tools 4.0.6 works perfectly with the 1.61 patch. No hiding necessary.
