Problem running game from .iso

I successfully installed Diablo 2 from the .iso files that I have,
but I can't seem to get the game to treat the virtual drive as a viable CDROM drive.

When I mount the play_disk.iso, the "Play Diablo II" screen comes up sorrectly, but when I click to play, it gives me an error mesage saying "Please Verify that your Diablo II Playdisk is in the CD-ROM drive..."

any insight into this problem/possible solutions??

Re-create the images from your original cds in appropriate image format including sub-channel data. ISOs won't work.
