Armed Assault (russian)
After installation (v1.01) - works
After patch to 1.02 (russian) - works
After patch to 1.05 (international) - starts to detect emulation
(patch 1.05 also updates SF to 4.70.6.8)
All disks are NTFS. No matter DT emulation on or off, no Alcohol120% installed (and never was).
Hi, it is still like that, see this video HERE
By the way I think it's better to rename the topic of this thread to "StarForce v4.70.8.6 Problem"
In case you need anymore help from me just post here or PM me. :-)

Hi, my image is located on Desktop, 80G NTFS Format Drive. Actually I am from Hong Kong, many Chinese games are still protected by StarForce here. The game is called "True Tears" which is in Chinese.
Actually I have been discussing the topic at http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=215992
Let me reproduce it here:
Hi all,
Thanks to the daemon-tools team for their release of v4.09. However, it seems that StarForce v4.70.6.8 is still detecting DT v4.09 successfully.
My case is like this:
I upgrade the daemon-tools from v4.08 to v4.09 and made an image from alcohol v1.96 build 4719. I installed the game using the original disc and key from manual. I can run successfully from original disc but it shows "disc key error" problem everytime I run from DT v4.09.
I tried using 1X High percision DPM but no luck.
Then I tried to remove everything, the game, DT, SF driver (using latest driver removal tool), STPD driver, Alcohol and reinstall only the game, DT with STPD 1.43 driver. This time the game keeps detecting emulation software. I noticed that the SF driver is of v4.70.6.8 and I never see their news press about this. So I am just wondering whether anyone has the same experience as me?

Great thanks for reading this! :-)

Thanks Copytrooper!
D-tools 4.09 works for me with Fantasia sanguo 3,it's SFv4.70.6.8,thanks fot D-tools team!
We currently do not know where problems is: SF 4.70.006.008 works for us from SATA HDD too (on Marvell RAID driver).
And even newer SF 4.70.007.001 is fine too.

Had one more try - at this time had move image files to shared folder at another computer and mount it with DT (4.091 with SPTD 1.43) using network path. Had check game start before updating Armed Assault version to 1.05 - SF's disk check was successfull, game started. Than I install patch and check again. At this point game ask me to restart to install protection drivers. After reboot and attempt to start the game i had see message informing about emulation software was detected (in russian)...
Any idea what to try next? May be I missed something vital about hardware/software configuration to be successfull?
Hi,
Thanks the development team for the solution. I finally figure out how to make the image playable.
What I did is to BURN the mdf and mds file to a DVDR and mount the image from the BURNT DVDR. The game successfully starts in this way. I noticed that the whole system hangs for around 3 seconds during the check, is there anyway to prevent the system from locking up? Starforce is blocking access to the filesystem is the main cause for the problem I think.
