C&C The First Decade problems

Hey, I'm also having problems with C&C tFD - its just with Generals Zero Hour though. Originally i tried to play it with no blacklist prevention, so i searched here, and found i needed yasu.

got yasu, and now instead of getting a "Please insert the correct disk and restart the appliation" error message, Generals now just 'encounters a serious error'... ie crashes.

Red Alert 2 however, runs just fine with or without YASU.
Puzzled i be.

Any help out there?

Try to disable Safedisc emulation in Daemon Tools.

You mean right click on DT go to emulation and deselect safedisk?

Yep, turned on DT mounted the image, turned on YASU cloaked the drive, ran generals then crash...

Never mind, just got it working. I was mounting my 1-1 copy rather than the image. which stopped it from working properly. Thanks for your help though.

Can you explain further? What do you mean by 1-1 copy?

Which DT version you have installed?
is this an older one?
in never version from DT is it not possbile to deactivate emulation by right click you have to to this in the GUI....

EDIT: i know i know when you use DT lite you haven't a GUI ><

Also that user isn't frequently visiting the board so maybe you better describe you're issue with C&C The First Decade - if there is any.
