I use Daemon to turn Audible files into MP3's that I can put on a Sansa portable player. It's a technique I don't really understand in detail, but I found the work-around through a web search.
It worked for months. Today, it did not work.
The procedure is that I use by Nero 7 software and burn to the Virtual Drive. Then Mount Image in Daemon, and "convert audio CD to Audio File using Nero Burning ROM." I set the file type as MP3, hit "go" and I'm off and running.
However, today, when I hit "go", I get a message from Nero saying "cannot start the job."
I notice that Windows updated some 'security' files today. Possible source of problem?
I have updated to the latest version of Daemon (4.12.0). Same error message.
I am in the process of updating Nero to the latest version (7.10.1.2 dated October 10, 2007). I was previously using version 7.10.1.0.
Thanks for any help.
