no reading speed

Hi
I just bought Daemon Tools Pro Standard Version: 4.12.0300 today so that I can copy my DVDs.
I have a HL-DT-ST-DVD-ROM GDR8163B ATAPI (1:0) DVD player.
I am not showing anything in the reading speed box of my DVD player.
I also have a ASUS CRW-4832AS CD player but the reading speed is in there.
I tryed to unstall then reinstall Daemon but it is the same thing.
Please somebody help me out.

Did you try this option with no discs inserted and also with a disc inserted? Try using an audio CD and then a DVD. Is there an error message when you try to click the "Start" button to begin the Disc imaging?

Same Problem

I'm getting the same problem with Daemon Tools Lite. Tried using different disc as you suggest and it works. Any reason why it doesn't get reading speed with ALL discs? Seems it can determine speed on some CD & DVD but not all
