doom 3 image issues

it installs but whenever i try and play it it does the please insert disc thing. i have used alchohol to make mdf and mds files as well as burning the image onto a cd but it wont work. wtf is going on?

sorry about that. lets say my images are from real cd's from now on since it doesnt matter, but anyway colin mcrae had the same problem so if there a reason my iso's dont read the cd after i mount them?

ok, then lets say put your original-cd into your cd-drive, start alcohol and make a perfect image depending on the protection used.

i'm playing colin mcrae right from an image and there should be no problems.
