data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but here it goes.
When i try to install gta san andreas i get this error and the instalation ends

Feature: Grand theft auto: San Andreas Game Data
Component: Audio
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: data error (cyclic redundancy check)

On my other PC game instals with no problems, but the PC is to old to play the game. What do i do? Help me!

Try using the original or burning the disc just for install purposes (don't do this unless you legally have/own the original) and then throwing away the install disc and playing directly from the mounted image from then on.

But obviously your original disc is scratched or was read to the hard disk with uncorrected read errors.

CDMage is capable of correcting CRC errors inside an image file before burning ... but I havn't tried it too extensively.
