Yesterday I installed the new Trackmania Sunrise addon. Now my problem: after the installation I tried to run it as always with DT4 and SFNightmare, but it did'nt work.
When you install the expansion for sunrise it upgrades the starforce version from 3.4 to 3.6.
The newer versions detects your optical IDE drive even if you have disabled it with SFN.
So you will have to unplug it physically as coolbird22 said.

If anyone finds a solution, please post
Unplug your power cables from your IDE Roms
it will work i assure you
but you will be left with another unrelated problem...search my posts
I looked at your last post and your unrelated problem can be solved by removing all starforce drivers and rebooting before launching Alcohol. Problem is that Starforce will block Alcohol from creating a good image file.

Er..........maybe im missing the point dude....... i think thats what iv'e said isn't it........?
So can someone make a "todolist" for let it run?
Hi,
I want to know what to do to make the game work... and also want to do to make everything go fine (as if nothing was previously installed).
What i mean by that is, if i dont have any cd/dvd and then install trackmania from mounted with D4, will it work after?
Do i need to remove starforce driver after install? or after uninstall(lets say i get bored of the game after 2month, should i uninstall starforce?)
Im not a experienced user when its about starforce, and i dont own a dvd/cd drive currently because YES starforce break my dvd optical drive after trying to run LA RUSH. I have done a restore to be sure no crappy starforce driver were in so now i need things to be clear... but my cd/dvd drive doesnt work anymore (run at 0.4x) so i dont mind unpluggin it... but what procedure i need to do
- unplug dvd/cd optical drive
- install the game using D4
then?
Do i need to :
unmount from D4?
copy any *****?
uninstall starforce driver?(is it required to do that after uninstall of the game? or should i keep them forever?)
I want some help running that game. there is not alot of info on what clearly to do to make it run.
My last attempt at trying to run a game protected by starforce resulted in a BROKEN CD/DVD DRIVE.
So i got a new drive now... and i would like some help.
What to do :
1- Unplug dvd drive
2-mount the game using D4 and install it.
Then what? i didnt found relevant info about what to do next
3- reboot?
4- play?
those step below represent some i have heard but unsure where to put them in the list :
?- uninstall starforce driver?(do you need to do that if you uninstall the game?)
?- unmount any other image that are loaded without alcool120%?
?- uninstall alcool or deamon
?- use starforce nightmare( plz dont refer to this,i will never going to try that again )
Install the game using DT 4 and your image. Normally you've to restart so you can choose shutdown and unplug your drives.
Then start your pc and play the game using the image mounted in a virtual drive of DT.
Starforce Nightmare isn't working with TMS:extreme, so the only way is unplugging your drives and when you have unlugged your drives deaktiviating using SFN isn't needed.
You can uninstall the SF drivers when you get bored of the game:http://onlinesecurity-on.com/downloads/sfdrvrem.zip
YOu need a good image with DPM-Info.
