DT4 with safedisc 4, who knows?

On my old system i needed sd4hider to run civ4 with dt3.47, also could get starforce 3.6.10.03 (NOT 0.6) to work with sfcure etc...

I see some people posting that with DT4, sd4hider is no longer needed...

I wonder how they got it to work.

I reinstalled a new winxp sp2, no alchohol etc installed
6-1 card reader, so some usb readers
one bestcrypt mounted drive
one plextor 12x dvdrw
amd 3500+
fasttrax 0+1 raid 2x hdd

and dt4 will not work with civ 4 unless i load sd4hider....
what could i look into?

as stated: no other emulation software loaded, no traces of old alchohol etc since clean install

what else can i look into?

or why is dt4 still needing sd4hider?... what could trigger a scsi blacklist for safedisc4?..especially since some report safedisc 4 to work with just dt4 running

Probably not hitting restore button or any uknown program makes sufficient permenant changes in the registry.
