Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Image Problem

I Want to make an Image File Of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory (DVD) with exact DPM by using (Precision=High & Speed 1.X) from alcohol, but the problem is my DVD Drive is waek on reading DVD ROM presently.
Can I make the image from my friends DVD Drive (It will get copied to his Hard disk) And from his hard disk to my hard disk. Will it hamper the image OR Will I Get Exact Image Of SCCT.

If you can't read the image you can read it at you friends pc.
To get it on your harddisk your friend can burn the image as a DataDVD (UDF) with Nero, or you can copy it over network (LAN).
