New Virtual CD/DVD-Rom Hider

I written an application for hiding virtual drives from SafeDisk 4.X and SecuROM 7, the application(CureROM) should be avalible for download from gamecopyworld in the new year(there site is not being matained over the holiday season).

The application is fairly simple to use(similar to DAEMONScript).

Below is a list of games that i have tested:
Need for Speed: Most Wanted. [Pass]
Quake 4 pre 1.0.4 update (does not require the disk after update). [Pass] - Tested by: sYk0
FIFA 2006. [Pass] - Tested by: sYk0
Matrix: The Path of Neo, version 1.0-1.1 tested. [Pass] - Tested by: sYk0 & B3tty
Star Wars Battlefront II. [Pass] - Tested by: B3tty

Nope not a "Trojan horsy"... (Be sure to run a virus scan for safe measure)

Please Note:
"CureROM" developed and tested on Windows XP Pro (SP2) with DAEMON Tools 4...
if you are having problems, please post... include Operating System (Service Pack) and Game name, so that i can keep CureROM up 2 date as possible.

And yes, StarForce sucks the big one...

Hey sYk0, the tool works great, but does it have to add itself to startup registry to work and is it ok if I post this on rapidshare, megaupload it a bit lame :-)

edit: i let it add itself to the startup registry via ms antispyware, but there aren't any entries for it in msconfig. is that the way it should be??

Hey, al1uk.

Thanks for you post...
The only reason CureROM adds its self to the system startup is just in case the game/windows crashes while running the game. when windows starts up again CureROM will restore all the settings. If the game closes correctly CureROM will delete this entry in this registry...

Feel free to post CureROM where ever you wish... just make sure it's in its original setup.

nope it only hides virtual(SCSI) CD/DVD-Rom's from SafeDisk 4.X and SecuROM 7 only...

Wait for the next release of DAEMON Tools...
