Anyone know how to make a working copy or image file....

i get read errors from sector 3031 onwards.

when i tried to play a backup copy of it, it got to the installation... said removing OBCD directories then said that the disk wasn't in the drive....
tried to read it in my LG DVD and an Acer 12x8x32 CDRW drives....
no luck...
tried emulating with DAEMON TOOLS v332 each protection in turn an all together...

I have made a copy with Alcohol and it works fine.

It will take a lot of time 3.5h with LiteOn

Have you tried enabling safedisc settings, running the game, quitting, then making an image? Fast dump might be able to speed up the process.

This is not Safedisc, fastdump is of no use...

did you try using clonyXXL to recognise the copyprotection? seens a bad sectors based protection, like laserlock or protect cd...

Fast Dump??? Never heard before. So I had to try.
And it worked. The procedure took 2.5h. As the LiteOn is not
the fastest in reading ReadErrors, it is a step forward.
Toshiba-DVD might be faster.
By the way: the image works (mounted with DT and Alcohol) fine, too.

There are 2 versions of this game, one protected with securom and the other with a custom protection consisting of a massive number of consecutive unreadable sectors.

Probably the best way of making an image of the bad sectors version in a reasonable time would be to use clonecd with a custom profile (FES on, IBBS set at 500 on, everything else off).

if you go to daemon-tools.com Forum Index > Copy Protections > Copy Protected Games and read the list you see wat protects SOA but if you read the other posts then u'll come accross one which mentions Phenoprotect Posted by BadReligionPR. Remind you of SOA?????
