I can see that Securom may use Symbolic links to find SCSI drives...

but how this DRM tells the difference in IDE drives without accesing the most inner Ring?

Get the New daemon tools lite toolbar. Then, go to preferences. Next, go to advanced. Finally, Select Securom. It worked for me!
