Max Payne 1

Please help me! i have installed max payne 1. i used clonecd to make an iso of it, and installed as instructed. I then used the fix that everyone has been saying to use: alcohol 120, make mds file, enable rmps, enable safedisc 2 emulation, etc. I mount the file, hit play, and the exact same thing happens. It acts like its processing, the max payne logo comes up, then nothing. Please help, I have been messing w/ this for hours.
(im running windows xp, if that does anyone any good.)
