  • Problem with "Flatout 2"

    Hi!

I really want to play this game but it seems impossible.
The StarForce v.4 is a real nut isn't it?
I've found this guide where im supposed to use 2 computers, sharing an emulated drive. I got all that working, but when i try to start the game, and the StarForce is checking the disc i get this error : Failed to indentify the disc in the drive. Insert a licensed disc.
I've been using 2 kinds of images, MDS and ISO.
Anybody have an idea what the problem might be?
Do i have to unplug the drives on the play-computer?
Here is the link to where i found the method bypassing SF v.4

If nothing else works you can always use the original disc.

This means your image has bad DPM (or no DPM at all). Try creating a new image using Alcohol 120% with DPM set at High Precision.

So far FlatOut 2 seems impossible to clone with the current emulation tools.
At the moment it only works with BlindWrite 6 + external USB drive. But this won't work in future versions, they already fixed this...

Hmm. I tried making a new image with high DPM but i still get the same error. I can make an image with high DPM from an image that doesn't have it, right...?

You should read the DPM from your original disc or find an uploaded file (if f.e. your drive cannot extract proper DPM) from copybase.ch. I hope you still have the disc and not just MDS/MDF and ISO files.

When you only have an image without the Original one (what i think), then go out and buy the game. Otherwise you wont get any help/support from here (the whole Forum), because we dont support Warez shit from p2p etc.

              I hope you understand this.
