You can wait and see if any competitors release such things for free.

Kitna, how dare you speak such crazy talk here. Buy software? To support the authors?? That would be....ludicrous!

I have no problem paying for something if I want it, its just that thats the ONLY reason I want it.

I'm very happy that some talented people want to spend so much time in creating a tool like DT to help the gaming community.
If it was an 'easy job' then I'm sure there would be tons of emulators out there.
Sure there are some other emulators like Virtual Drive or VirtualCD, but they're all more interested in getting our money than in creating a quality product.
That is why I like DT so much, the main interest of the DT devs is to create a good solid product, not taking as much money as they can.

I actually don't understand how they manage to keep such a popular product like DT free of charge. For that they have my deepest respect.

Well, it is free - but it also contains adware. If noone would
click, we stopped free version already, fortunately, enough
people decided to support us (and therefore all free users).

@denzilla: I suggest you to not buy DT-license - seriously.
If you're only interested in one feature you will maybe dissapointed.
Additional, I recommend here to play from original-cd or use
                    one of the many methods/workarounds.

After all we prefer satisfied customers - for their sake and -
                    obviously - our's too.
I guess you already have one copy-suite/image tool bought
and suggest you to stick with it

@reef: No, we're only here cause we want your money.....MORE money - give us all your money. And because
we need your money (hmm, did I mentioned money-reasons
already? ). Seriously: thnx for your support. With such
project, you must be a little bit fanatic and idealistic. Many
people do not think about what development costs nowadays - cause they can't as many people write soft
on their own. But in "professional" liga, it really is expensive.
Our hardware alone is worth.... well, alot.

LOL...What I'd like to know is why virtually everyone here decided to take my innocent question and turn it into a bashing session at my expense? If I came off as being rude, please accept my apology and understand that it wasn't my intent. On the flip side, there was absolutely no excuse for being a dick too me about this. My question was about a feature that as I understood it, was too be in the free version of 4 from the start. Again, my memory might be failing me on this, so could be wrong there. Secondly, its pretty damn low of someone to offer something free and then turn around and insult them for using and and God forbid, request a feature. If you feel that way then maybe you should've charged for it from the beginning. I got zero problem supporting your work but I do have a problem with being bitched at. WhenI see a finished version of Pro I'll examine the feature list and then decide if its worth buying. I appreciate the good salesmanship though

frankly spoken: your whole last(!) post is merely bullshit to say it best.

Maybe you read through MY posting and then what YOU replied.
It is simply a hit in the face, offensive and all that after we
even SUGGEST you to NOT license DT? What the heck is wrong
                        with you?

When you're pissed off because of something than GODDAMN hit those people that insulted you, not ME.

                        Especially this here:
Secondly, its pretty damn low of someone to offer something free and then turn around and insult them for using and and God forbid, request a feature.
is completely rubbish. We never FORCED you to even visit our site, nor does we FORCED you to use our software.
And its pretty low to insult me by above statement as I did
NOT insult anyone here (except you of course now) that
use DT for free. My above statement was a fact and nothing
                        else.
                        My gosh

EDIT: And also the other guys are only in worst case a little bit sarcastic. Obviously you have no
                        sense of humor. poor you
