Can't start a Starforce-Game (x3)

i want to run x3 (1.4.0.2) from an image and i did everything said in here. i tried sfcure and sfnightmare and unplugging my dvdrw but nothing worked.
my dvdrw isnt able to read the dpm so i downloaded the mds-file from copybase.ch but still didnt worked. so what do i have to do?

dvd lg4167b (ide)
hdd 2xsata
mb asus a8n sli-dlx (nforce 4-sli)
cpu 3200-64
ram 1gb

X3 has SF3.5 and it cant be fooled with sfn and sfcure. u should try burning it on a disc and reading it from an external usb drive...

Does the latest patch not remove the protection from the game ?

damm,
i dont have an external dvd drive.....
i tried so hard getting around that shit but i finally gave up and bought the game.... also works^^
but i'll try with an external drive thx
