yet another banned crack-whore

Whow, guys you really want the latest version.

I just want to be able to play through the game.
I have installed the 1.0 version and applied a cr*ck and it
works fine to play.
Then I discover that the patch to 1.03 is large and I figure I do best to get this patch.
I can install the patch and on my laptop and the 1.03 cr*ck works fine, but not on my stationary computer that can handle the graphics for this game and want to play it the game does not start (no messages or anything).
I even tried to raise it to 1.04 with the 1.04 crack, still no luck.

SO may be I can get it going in some other way?

What do I need to do?

Why do you guys want to run the latest version anyway (it for online gaming), I only want a stable enough version.
