And I don't mean in term of viruses. I mean that some games I download simply don't work right on my system, for whatever reason, and crash. Is this crashing bad for my computer in any way?
Last night I played a copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. It was working great and all of the sudden I got the blue screen of death and my computer restarted. It didn't appear to have done anything. But I then ran a virus scan, a regiustry clean-up, spybot -- the works -- just in case. This morning I turn on my computer and get this message:
Microsoft has recovered from a serious error:
BCCode : 100000d1 BCP1 : F7BA90FC BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : EB16AB03 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

C:\DOCUME~1\User\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERf5a4.dir00\sysda ta.xml
Now I don't know if this problem is related or not but this is the first time I've gotten a "serious error" since a power surge wrecked my ethernet card.
Are playing these games when they freeze up and crash your system safe?
