Securom is an interesting technology. Great to see that we are advancing. As we advance minds gather to advance even more. I have a few questions about this breakthrough technology.

From what I understand "Securom" has to do with layers on a disc. Basically preventing anyone to make a 1:1 copy or something like that. But I've also heard malicious things like the fact that using a back up disc of a securom movie or game can leave some sort of files in your registry or "dll" files on your system. I also heard a rumour that it can leave those kinds of files even if you use the original disc.

Wow!!! This is kind of intrusive, I mean who wishes to have files on their pc that they don't even know about, without knowing what exactly it is that these files do!

What are the names and kinds of the files that a "Securom" disc leaves on your system and how do you get rid of them if so?

I'm going to be more aware when I install anything. I hate unknown files in my installations.
