Emulating a rar

I'm completely new to Daemon Tools and all emulating software, therefore im very inexperienced so i apologise if this question is brought up a million times, but i did do a search

I basically have a game backed up into one large .rar file. If i unrar it, it breaks down into several smaller .rars that if i try to unrar, an error message appears. I have been told not to unrar the game and to use Daemon Tools to emulate it. I had a play using Daemon Tools but it got me no where, and i just get a message saying windows is unable to read the disc.

How do i go about emulating the rar so i can play the game?
